Proceedings

The World Foundry Congress, the most important event of the foundry sector, constitutes an excellent occasion for exchanging knowledge and experiences, the newest achievements and innovations.

The 73rd World Foundry Congress will held with motto ‚Creative Foundry‚ including broadly understood thematic blocks:

  • Materials
  • Technologies
  • Digitalisation
  • Management
  • Ecology

The participants of 73WFC are invited to submit the extended two-page abstracts (detailed two-page short papers) for publication in the 73WFC Proceedings, following the attached format of two-columns pages, containing the tables and graphs to display the authors’ results.
At the registration desk, the digital version of the 73WFC Proceedings (pdf) will be distributed to participants on pen drives together with other congress materials. The limited number of paper copies of the 73WFC Proceedings will be also available.
The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee based on their originality, quality and significance of theoretical and/or practical contribution to foundry science and practice.
At least one author of each accepted abstract must register at the congress. Each registered participant may submit maximum two abstracts. Only contributions from individuals who have paid the registration fee will be included in the 73WFC Proceedings.
After the congress, the 73WFC Proceedings will be available online on the 73WFC website (Open Access).

GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS – PRESENTATIONS

Each presentation should be prepared in 16×9 screen format as .ppt or .pptx files.

Duration of the presentation: 15 min.

Congress logo

The Congress logo has to be present in the upper left corner of the first slide. It’s size and placement cannot be altered.

The logo is available to download in different formats in the section above.

The size of the logo is set to: 65 mm in height

Placement: 10 mm from the left border and 10 mm from the top border.

At the bottom of each and every following slide both the Congress logo and information regarding Authors name and the title of the presentation should be present (please see the presentation template for reference).

Videos and images

All videos should be prepared in 1920x1080px resolution (that’s also 16×9), preferred file standard is H.264.

All graphics should be prepared in 1920x1080px resolution, preferred file format is PNG.

Presentations upload

I will be possible to upload presentations on-line (details will be available soon on the website and will be sent in further e-mails) or during the Congress in slide-rooms.

GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS – POSTERS

Each presenter should bring their poster on a single sheet of paper/plastic
in B1 size (100cm x 70cm), in vertical format.

Each poster has an assigned number and must be mounted on the appropriate board with the corresponding number. The poster number will be available on the poster handout which will be given out at the registration desk during the Congress. All the materials necessary for attaching the posters to the boards will be available at the facility desk in the poster area. In addition, assistants will be present on site to help with both setting up and taking down of the posters.

Placement: 24 mm from the left border and 22 mm from the top border.

Text

While choosing font type, size and color, please keep in mind that all the information present on the poster has to be legible.

Images

Please make sure that the images have sufficient size, that they have good quality and are proportional. There is no set size for the included images.

Please remember that any numbers or text that is present on the pictures of figures has to be legible. Please choose the font type and size accordingly.

Tables

There is no set style, but please keep in mind that table contents have to legible, in terms of used font size, style and color.

Important information:

  • Posters have to be registered on 24th Sept 8.00 – 10.00 at the reception desk (poster area) in ICE Congress Centre,
  • At the reception desk you will receive the place number for your poster, each poster has a designated space reserved in the poster area,
  • All Young Researchers who did not receive a special invitation from the Scientific Committee have to prepare posters for dedicated Young Researcher’s poster session,
